[TRANS] Yunho - 100629 Heading To The Ground Achieves Milestone After Bae Yong Joon

Yunho, after Bae Yong Joon, has achieved the record of holding number one spot on Japans DVD Oricon charts after 3 years with the MBC television drama he acted as the main character, Heading To The Ground.

According to the weekly television drama DVD charts on the 28th, Yunhos first time acting as main character in the drama Heading To The Ground has earned both number 1 and number 2 spots with the individual DVD box sets.

The only Korean drama to ever achieve number 1 and 2 spots on the weekly Oricon television drama DVD charts was Bae Yong Joons drama The Story of the First Kings Four Gods in 2007. This is the first time in 3 years since a Korean DVD drama has achieved this feat.

In comparison to somewhat low viewer ratings in Korea, Heading To The Ground has achieved a milestone in Japan, showing the amount of care Yunho receives from fans.
On another note, Yunho will start acting as the main character, Prince Lee Shin, in the musical Goong starting in September.

TVXQ Member Hero Jaejoong shed tears to hear the sad news about Park Yong-ha.

Hero Jaejoong who is currently in the midst of recording in United States on the 30th has to hear the suicide news of his close friend Park Yong-ha and devoted himself in tears. Jaejoong said, I really want to visit the room where Park Yong-ha coffin is placed now, what should I do. How could this happen to him. he stopped as hes burst in tears. Yesterday (the 29th) were talking on the phone. Were supposed to meet when I return to South Korea

A representative of Jaejoong said, The relationship between Park Yong-ha and Jaejoong was more than just a close relationship. They tell each other everything. When Jaejoong heard about this sad news in America, hes totally clueless and was bitter to know nothing about the incidence. The most heartbreaking thing is that he will have to stay in United States and wont be able to visit Park Yong-has coffin.

Since Jaejoong and Park Yong-ha both pursue activities in Japan, they have established a close relationship. Staying in a foreign country, they started to share thoughts and opinions which then built close friendship between them for years.

Usher invites Will Pan, Han Geng, Jay Chou, David Tao to upcoming concert

On July 11th, American R&B star Usher will hold a concert in Beijing for the first time in Wukesong Arena. While the concert date is quickly approaching, the official guest performers for his concert had not been finalized as of yet. Usher did provide a list of invited esteemed guests requested by him as possible acts, including some of East Asia’s premiere singers such as Will Pan, Jay Chou, Han Geng, and David Tao.

One of the factors that motivated Usher in holding a concert in Beijing was to hold a cultural exchange and friendly communications with his Mandopop star counterparts, as well as having the opportunity to collaborate and dance alongside them on stage. In terms of dancing, Usher was specifically interested with Will Pan, whom has released strings of hit songs that highlight his dance moves; and Han Geng, whom achieved acclaim for his dancing due to his training from his Super Junior days.

Will already has established ties with the United States due to being born and partly growing up there, as well as having made frequent trips back to record and produce his previous albums there. The Taiwanese-American singer had earlier planned to attend Usher’s concert regardless in order to support his idol. On the other hand, Han Geng’s invite is the latest in a string of positive news for the ex-Super Junior, whose popularity had not only been unaffected following his departure from one of South Korea’s most famous boy bands, but has actually been rising rapidly.

Concert organizers are currently scrambling with booking the invited artists in the hopes of scheduling them as acts in Usher’s first ever Beijing concert. The American R&B star also hopes to gather some feedback from Chinese fans on their views through online polling in order to determine which artist would be a compatible match for his performance style. In the mean time, as the finalized list of guest performers are in the works, netizens are expected to have a war of words as to who should be some of the acts in Usher’s concert.

[TRANS] 100629 Tohoshinki Trio In America For Recording

3 members of Tohoshinki – Junsu, Jejung & Yuchun flew to America for a recording. An official confirmed on the 28th that the three are currently staying in America and are working on their new album.

They also said that “The three members are planning to release this album in August, so they are currently preparing for that. With Asia as their target, this album will be released under a well-known international recording label. ”

Songwriter Kim Hyun-Suk is the producer for this project, and popular American hip-hop singers Kanye West, Timbaland and others will also be involved.

[NEWS] Super Junior Conquers Various Asian Music Charts

Group Super Junior is causing Hallyu wave once again with "Miinah."

On the 29th, according to the management company SM Entertainment, Super Junior has conquered the number one spot in various music charts in Asia including Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines and Hong Kong.

Super Junior's fourth album "Miinah" which was released on the 15th in Thailand became number one in Thailand channel V countdown Asian chart two weeks in a row. They also conquered the number one spot in Thailand's various CD sales charts including "B2S TOP20," "GRAM ASIAN POP TOP10," and "Look Maew Asian Pop Top5."

Also, Miinah which was released on the 18th in Taiwan, took the top spot in various CD sales charts including "G-MUSIC 風雲榜(펑윈방)," "파이브 뮤직(FIVE MUSIC)," "KMCC," "CC Record" and in the third week of June (June 18th~June 12th) they became number one in online music sites "KKBOX," and "ezpeer" weekly charts.

Aside from this achievement, "Miinah" became number one three weeks in a row (first week of June ~ third week of June) in the Philippines music channel MYX hit chart. In Hong Kong, they were ranked number one in HMV Korean Japanese music top 10 chart. Super Junior is sweeping the number one spot in various music charts that one can feel the Super Junior craze that's all over Asia.

Meanwhile, Super Junior has released their repackaged fourth album on the 28th which include four new songs and is continuing their success with becoming number one in Hanteo real-time chart .
