[CASSPH] The Delusional Fan

it makes me think,
"am i taking this fandom too seriously?" or is it just that,
they've been a crucial part of my life?

i know because...i was there ever since they stood in front of an audience back in 2003. maybe it's the years that i had with them. i know they are strong, and we should be strong too.

it was never easy to love them in the first place, they are our stars and we are just fans.

but ever since i met them, i never considered myself just a fan. i considered myself as a long distance friend whom they can rely on anytime. physical contact became a minor need for me. love was the ultimate bond that breaks all physical boundaries.

it saddens me how some fans can just easily let go of them now. you don't know how much of a struggle cassiopeia experienced when news broke back in 2005 that they are having jaejoong replaced because he was being a burden with their rising sun activities due to his knee injury. we stood by them firmly despite the odds of overturning SMent's decision. you don't know how many hardships we have to go through back then. how many tears have rolled down our cheeks and sleepless nights we have endured that time. we are deeply hurt but we didn't expect anything. we stood by them nonetheless.

JYJ applied for a lawsuit against SMent for non-exclusivity of contracts only. period. it was not a lawsuit for an ultimate cancellation of their contracts. it was never about a conflict between the members. SMent was the one who separated them and prohibited JYJ to have any kind of contact with HoMin.

now i know many of you will say "then why won't HoMin get out of SMent too if they really want to be together again?" the answer is quite simple: because HoMin are concerned about other people who will be greatly affected when they immediately pull out now. yes it is definitely easy to file the lawsuit and break out of SM, if their only concern was themselves. but HoMin are humble enough to realize that there are many people around them who won't get their jobs back when they suddenly pull out of everything: the musical, the drama, smtown and any future activities that SMent would give them. if you guys are keen enough to realize, SMent keeps on giving them 'small activities' just to make them stay because SMent knows that HoMin aren't selfish enough to immediately bail out in the middle of everything.

but then here comes the issue regarding the JYJ album and dvd. i've been reading a lot of comments saying that JYJ doesn't have the right to smile and happy with what's happening right now. since when did we have the right to dictate and demand things from them? since when? JYJ aren't just ordinary people, you know that. they are also artists, professionals in the entertainment business. they can't sulk up all their lives, they have to move on and will continue to move forward until everything settles back to place, the place where they once knew, where every one of us knew.

we are family, and family members should learn to understand each other.

now am i being a delusional fan? yeah, maybe i am, but it is better to be a delusional fan than a hater.

if there will come a time that they officially state that "it's over and done" i won't stop being a fan. why? because they are still the same people whom i loved. the same people whom i smile at, cry over with and laugh at. they are the same people who brought such beautiful songs that i never thought would touch the deepest core of me. they are the people who made me realize that music isn't about the language, that it is about the emotion and passion you pour out when you sing every line and note. it is about the heart you put in every thing that you do that makes it all worth it.

let's make cassiopeia worth the fanclub that
Yunho, Jaejoong, Changmin, Yoochun and Junsu

will be coming home to...soon.

[TRANS} 100801 Words of a non-DBSK fan

This is what a non-Cassie wrote to me after watching Bolero live. I was honestly touched to know that there are people out there who understand the way we Cassiopeia feel.

Here is what she wrote on her note:

It's undeniable...
When it comes to TVXQ, it's never just about their looks
Perhaps one could say that compared to their love for music, the way they express themselves and their passion, their appearance is completely insignificant.
When I'm listening to them and watching them, I don't feel the same kind of wildness and superficiality induced by other idols. This is admiration, genuine admiration.
They strive for perfection and sing with their sincerity. Listening to them is not only a form of pleasure, it has also shown me their respect; respect for music and for their audience.

Connection, trust and love; all of these things interdependent.

Whilst they may not be old, they have a level of maturity unheard of in other artists their age. Their determination has helped them overcome countless obstacles and reached unattainable heights.
I don't know how to express this, but watching the five of them on stage, their devotion, their concentration and their understanding of music… it's incredibly moving.
Compared to the mainland (China), where those who truly love music and value life never reach the top and those who are dependent on their looks, rumours and lies do.
As Asia's best group, TVXQ have shown nothing but progress and development. As I was watching their performance, the only thought in my head was 'TVXQ forever'.
They impact they had on me… I don't ever want to lose that feeling.

[TRANS] My teacher is a Cassiopeia

I am studying in a high school in Japan, almost half of my class are Cassiopeias. Speaking of this, I must give credit to my class teacher...

My teacher is a 45 years old, beautiful temperament lady, who is responsible in teaching us chinese language. She is a humorous and nice lady. She became Cassiopeia 1 year ago and is currently intoxicated by TVXQ.

First, let me introduce the glorious history of my teacher.

She set the 7th period class of every Tuesday and Thursday as "TVXQ's DVD appreciation lesson". Every time, she will pull down a large screen, and plays various DVDs of TVXQ which she brought from home. There were concerts, "History in Japan" series and so on. Sometimes she will sing and dance along while watching DVD of their concerts. However, her ability in dancing and singing is a bit...... so my class usually burst into laughter because it was too funny. Once because we laughed so hard, we were scolded by school director....

Got once she finished her teaching earlier, and we got nothing to do. We were silent for a while, then she suddenly said, "Since we still got a lot of time, how 'bout we talk about TVXQ?" And all of us agreed. Then we started our "General knowledge of TVXQ" lesson. My teacher is indeed a super fans, from TVXQ's each member's name, height, blood group, experiences, she can remember all of them clearly. She knows almost everything I knew. She told us that she originally thought only TVXQ's fans would listen to her when she brought up this topic. She did not expect everyone would listen to her seriously, and she was very happy.
Therefore, starting from that day, we have our own "General knowledge of TVXQ" every time we finished our lesson earlier.................

(omitted)

My class is going to take part in music festival in September. When the class monitor asked our teacher which songs should we choose, without hesitation she said, "Of course is TVXQ's song, does anyone have objections to that?" The whole class unanimously answered, "Nope!" After hearing our answers, my teacher said joyfully,"I knew you guys will answer that, you guys are the most adorable kids! Ah! You guys really understand me well!"
Finally, we decided to sing "Why Did I Fall In Love With You?" and the other song in chorus, while singing she praised "The harmony parts of TVXQ are really beautiful, we have to work hard like them too!"

Last month, my teacher went to JYJ Tokyo Dome concert and dragged her son along with her. When she came back, the first thing she told us was, "Ah! I am going to die! I was killed by Jejung!" This led to the exchanging glances from whole class. My class monitor said, "Teacher, you are not a little girl anymore, why are you so excited?"
After she finished this sentence, my teacher said, "When you mentioned about little girl, I remembered one thing. During the concert, Yuchun will invite a girl on stage when singing 'my girlfriend' right? So I was thinking, since he already selected 16, 17 years old girls in the first three concerts, will he select a middle-aged woman? So I asked my son, what to do if I was selected. However my son without any hesitation, answered me that it was impossible to happen. My heart immediately broke into pieces........." (omitted 10 000 words of sad description from my teacher)

There is a beautiful landscape at the back of our classroom, which is ------ giant posters and calendars of TVXQ. Well, of course, that's my teacher's masterpiece. She said that she is more energetic in teaching us when looking at TVXQ.

These are the glorious history of my class teacher. To be honest, I have never heard of such lovely teacher.

Now we are practicing 'Why Did I Fall In Love With You?' and purple line. The dance steps of purple line are really difficult.
I am going to a-nation on 28th of August with my classmates. Thinking of being able to see Junsu, Jejung and Yuchun, I am overwhelmed with happiness......

Lastly, I want to shout the phrase that I always shout with my classmates and teacher: TVXQ FIGHTING!

JYJ a-nation Fighting! Ho-Min SMTOWN LIVE Fighthing! I am going to attend both of them!

[CASSPH] 365 days of waiting, and still waiting.

Lately it has become more of a burden than an inspiration when we read and hear the phrase, "Always keep the faith". We ask ourselves, "Is there still a point of holding on to it? Is it still reachable? Or will it be just a glint hope that's beginning to fade away into the darkness?".

The answer is, "We don't know", and even I don't have an answer for that.

Somehow, because of this feeling of anxiety, we tend to blame it to them and their existence. We blame JaeChunSu for being selfish and unfair, only thinking about what they want and not consulting HoMin about it before they took their own measures. We blame HoMin for not leaving SMEnt and sticking to the contract, when it's pretty obvious that they are being manipulated and used for profit only. But each of one of them knows what's best for them. They are the only ones who knows it. We try to understand, but we have to accept that there are things that we could never understand, especially with the things that's happening to them right now.

It does hurt not being able to share it with them. It cuts us deeply, but it cuts them deeper not being able to tell it to us that they are hurt too.

Still, what's the point of all this? What is the point of feeling hurt and abandoned over and over again when you can easily forget them?

But honestly, can you really forget them?

Their music that touched your heart.
Their smiles that lifts your soul and
their unconditional love for you despite everything?

Yes, it is unconditional love that makes us hold on. There is no other reason. You don't think about it, you feel it. You feel it still beating there in your heart.

So even if the whole universe conspires against them, against us, we won't back down. We won't give up. Because we know that they will continue to exist here in our hearts, may it be as TVXQ or as Yunho, Changmin, Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu. As five or as individuals.

It is not a matter of leaving, because we will never leave them. It is a matter of moving on when that time will come, not sooner but later. Moving on with more love and support than what we have given in the past.

Being a Cassiopeia will not end when TVXQ ends, because the stars in the sky won't disappear once they exist and will continue to exist in the darkest night.

Keep shining Cassiopeia. Keep shining.

[TRANS] Junsu's love for Chinese fans

I have no idea where and when this is from >>"

My sister is a completely obsessed Cassiopeia. She's an exchange student in Japan and since our boys are so active there, she has lots of DBSK sighting opportunities. Whenever she's home to visit, she tells me about the boys. Honestly, I'm so jealous there are no words to describe it.

One day, I think it was after a performance, my sister stood amidst a large crowd of people, waiting to get their autographs. When she saw Junsu, she took out a piece of paper and a pen and said to Junsu in Japanese 'Please sign this for me' Junsu lifted his head, smiled at my sister, and said 'Sure, no problem.' And then my sister added 'I'm Chinese'. At that moment, Junsu stopped and lifted his head again to look at my sister, then he said 'Really? You're Chinese?' It was really crowded then, and my sister was about to get pushed off to the side, but Junsu stepped forward and hurriedly signed for her, as he did so, he was quietly muttering 'Chinese fan… Chinese…'. He was about to hand the sheet of paper back to my sister, but then he stopped and turned around and thrust it in Micky's hands (Micky was closest to him at the time. YOOSU!!!), he said 'Micky, sign this, it's from a Chinese fan.' Micky signed it and handed it back over to Junsu. The three other members were too far away by then. Junsu had a really hard time finding my sister again, but when he did, he said apologetically 'The others have disappeared so I only managed to get 2 autographs to you, come again next time' and handed back her piece of paper. The other fans saw that Junsu was done signing, so they rushed over. As Junsu was being shoved around, there was something in particular that my sister noticed. For Junsu's convenience, my sister removed her pen cap when she handed the pen over, and when he was returning the pen, he kept the tip pointed to himself the whole time so he wouldn't get any ink on the fans by accident. He kept the tip of the pen clenched in his fist but still drew on his own clothes a few times before he finally reached my sister and loosened his grip.

I was completely astonished by Junsu's actions. I asked my sister 'If it was so crowded, why did you make him return the pen?' To which she replied 'I wasn't planning on it, it's just that he kept looking for me to give it back.'

(She used to be a Yunho fan, but after this incident, Su completely won her over…. Every day, she tells me how Junsu glimmered like an angel that night… it gets me so annoyed… Why can't I go and meet that clueless boy who treats Chinese people like they're an endangered species?)

[Fanaccount] 100605 JYJ Thanksgiving Concert Japan

This is by far the most heartbreaking and funny fan account I've read from this concert.. thought i would shared with all of you...

FAN ACCOUNT – Kyocera Dome Day 1
Everyone and their mum has posted a fan account, but I’ve just finished my own from yesterday, and thought I’d share it in case it contained any new information.

(Apologies in advance for how rambling, flaily and scatterbrained it is! I typed up things as I remembered them so it’s a bit all over the place…)

- It was incredibly bittersweet. It was so good to see them together, goofing around, but there were two pretty obvious holes as well. They sounded amazing, it wasn’t like they were ‘missing’ anything concrete, but it was different to what I’ve known for the last 5-odd years, you know? The stage seemed…big. :/

- They’d all cried before the end of the first song. It was awful. The girls around me were crying. I was crying. It was 40 000 people, crying together.

- They sang Whitney Houston’s, ‘I have Nothing’. LOL. But actually, it was amazing, omfg. They conquered that song, it was mind-blowingly good. It brought tears to my eyes!

- It felt to me like it kind of somewhere between a concert and a fan-meet? They couldn’t perform any of their songs from DBSK, obviously, as they’re missing a couple of people to do the harmonies, and er, it’d be a bit tasteless really. So they seemed a bit light on singing materials, and had a lot of MCs/videos. BUT THAT’S OK, because they played some amazing videos (Making Of footage alone was so lol-tastic that it was worth the price of entry, there was definitely a ‘let’s pick on Yoochun!’ vibe to it) and the MCs were alternatively heartbreaking and hilarious.

- YOOCHUN HAS A NEW GREASY HAIRSTYLE. b It’s like he got extensions, cornrowed everything except his bangs back to the point where it could be tied in a ponytail, then he, er, ponytailed it. I actually kind of like it, though it was a bit in-your-face when I first saw it!

- Junsu singing Kanashimi no Yukue BROKE MY HEART. He just looked so sad and lonely and broken and by the time he sang the last line, “boku wa samushii,” (‘I’m so sad’) he was crying, and I was crying and it was awful. But he sounded amazing, and there was so much raw emotion in the song.

- On that note, a lot of their singing tonight was just filled with emotion. The few pop numbers, not so much, but all the ballad-y type stuff actually blew me away. And usually I’m a, “well, ballads are nice, do you have something more interesting?” kind of girl, but there was seriously so much raw emotion in their voices, I could have listened to them sing like that all night!

- OH OH OH. But but, Junsu sang ‘Xiahtic’ and Jaejoong sang ‘Maze’ and they were both hot and sexy. ‘Maze’ was like, rock-sexy, with wind machines and stuff, and ‘Xiahtic’ was like, ‘I’m-going-to-do-naughty-things-to-you-A

LL-NIGHT’ sexy. Junsu is THE beastly idol.

- ‘Intoxication’ in the encore was um. Extremely fierce. It was possibly sexier because Junsu wasn’t wearing ten kilos of bronzer.

- Yoochun and Jaejoong joined in in the dance break to ‘Intoxication’! Sexy times were had.

- Yoochun’s solo, on the other hand, ‘Girlfriend’, was greasy greasy greasy in all the best possible ways lol. He came out and was like, “Who came with a partner today?” and then was like, “hmm, no one. Ok TODAY I WANT A GIRLFRIEND,” and all the girls watching promptly flailed in anticipation. He wound up pulling this girl from the audience and was holding her hand and pulling her around stage with him, then was all, “What’s your name/where are you from/etc.” Then he got to, “How old are you?” and the girl was all, “15,” and Yoochun’s jaw just like, DROPPED, hahahahahaha. That girl did NOT look fifteen! Then he asked her if she had a boyfriend, she said no, he went, “GREAT! !” and it was generally awesome. Then he sang the song to her, was generally kind of sleazy in that loveable Yoochun fashion, then he DITCHED HER ON THE STAGE TO GO GET HER FLOWERS, HAHAHAHA. He was just like, “Stay here! ” and vanished down a trapdoor, leaving the poor thing sitting on a chair on stage with a bajillion people watching her, rofl. He came back with the flowers hidden behind his back, sang some more, gave them to her, she blushed, he kissed her hand, she nearly died, etc., the usual.

- Jaejoong kept saying they didn’t think anyone would come to see them, and crying. It made me cry too.

- ‘Colours’ was so beautiful, and Jaejoong and Yoochun were just like fanservicefanservicefanservice the whole time, rofl. At the end Jaejoong reached out and it looked as if he was going to like, hold Yoochun’s face? But at the last minute he grabbed his mic instead, traded it with his own, then held his hand for the last line.

- They also came out of one of those whoosy trapdoor things together once, holding each other. LOL. Junsu was just like, “Wtf you guys. XD”

- Junsu came out at the end of ‘Colours’ and said…something, IDK, but Jaejoong and Yoochun were like, “join us!” and they all like, ON THE SPOT, worked out a little harmony and re-sang the last line of the song together. It was beautiful.

- YOOCHUN SAYING HE HAD THOUGHT OF QUITTING. T_T And everyone in the audience just yelled out, “Ganbare! Hwaiting!” and urrgh. TEARS.

- After Junsu sang ‘Xiahtic’, Jaejoong was MCing and he was like, in genuine shock, “Junsu! I really don’t understand it…but you’re actually cool when you’re on stage!” I lol-ed so much.

- YOOCHUN HAD A RAP SOLO IN ‘XIAHTIC’. It was all Engrish-y and had something about getting drunk. A+ YOOCHUN.

- They kept giving Junsu crap about calling himself the ‘charisma’ of the group in the past or something, lol, but then they were like, “but actually…he kind of is,” or SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES, bad memory is bad.

- Junsu gave them crap about being in dramas, haha, and got clips rolled from Yoochun’s new BEE TV drama and Jaejoong’s Twitter drama. And both of them were just like, “OMFG THE SHAAAAAAME,” and blushing and shit, it was cute.

- Jaejoong sang a song in Korean. It was so beautiful. T_T

- They had Lisa from m-flo guesting in one of the songs! She’s a pretty awesome singer! Jaejoong snuck a quick kiss on her cheek at the end of the song I think (or at least he came close!) much to her surprise. XD

- YOOCHUN’S BIRTHDAY! They flashed a message up on screen before the concert telling us that at the cue, we were all to wish Yoochun a happy birthday, sing the song, and do like, a love sign with our arms (you know, your finger tips point to the crown of your head?). We did. It was cute. Jaejoong and Junsu (and by the end, Yoochun) made ‘Happy Birthday’ into the most beautiful song in the world, with amazing harmonies, what’s up with that. T_T

- The new songs were all so beautiful, I want them on CD. Especially the last song of the evening which was dedicated to ‘friends’ (read – the other DBSK guys) and had BEAUTIFUL lyrics, it was all, “we’re under the same sky,” sort of stuff, but really pretty, and yeah, they totally rocked that one and were all crying at the end.

- They ran some video footage of them from different countries, it was like, a preview to a DVD coming out later this year. Yoochun in Korea, Jaejoong in Canada and Junsu in Australia. It was pretty good footage guys. I think I want to see this DVD.

- I think it was during ‘TOKYO LOVELIGHT’, Yoochun called Jaejoong ‘JJ’. Like, ‘JaeJae’. IT WAS KIND OF CUTE. HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON.

- Junsu is still doing old-man jokes. He was like, “IF I DO THIS, EVERYONE WILL BE HAPPY,” or something, it was totally cute, even though I was sure he said he wasn’t going to do oyaji-jokes anymore, lol. And he was trying to make it like, a corner thing, he was like, ‘this is Junsu-ta’ which I think was meant to be an abbreviation of ‘Junsu-time’. Or not. My Japanese is so fail. But I’m sure he said something about it being ‘Junsu-time’. He got the drum guy to do a ba-boom-boom thing with his drums every time he said ‘Junsu-ta’, then got us all to say it, then Yoochun (I think) was giving him crap from offstage, just talking into his mic, lol.

- Jaejoong and Yoochun introduced themselves to one another in character from their dramas, and leaving Junsu out, much to his seeming indignation. This is after he embarrassed them with footage from their shows though, so he kind of deserved it lol.

- They were doing an MC thing and changed into these massive long coats while they were talking. At the end Jaejoong was like, “We transformed! !”. It was totally cute.

- The stadium looked so beautiful when the lights dimmed and all the red lights came on. There was one moment where Junsu (?) was singing on one of the stages and everyone in the hall was turned towards him and beating their glowsticks in time, and it was kind of like a giant beating heart. Is it creepy to say it like that? But it really was, and it was actually really pretty.

- They had this song, it was a new one (I think they said they came up with it themselves? Possibly…?) and it was quite poppy and dance-y, and they taught us choreography to do with them in time. Jaejoong kept trying to make sure we knew it, and Yoochun was like, “Whatever, PREPERATIONS COMPLETE! ” and the song began, lo~l.

- I’ve mostly recalled the light-hearted stuff, so my account has come off that way, but actually the mood was quite somber for a lot of it. There was a lot of crying going on around me. Probably up until ‘TOKYO LOVELIGHT’, everyone, boys and fans included, were quite teary. It was extremely bittersweet. But afterwards, I came out of it feeling like I would be happy with anything they did, so long as it made them happy. I really could feel how hard they’ve worked up until this point, how sad they are that things have turned out this way, how determined they are to go on in spite of that. They seemed quite…fragile, actually, and so small too, the three of them alone in that giant stadium. To turn it into a pretty metaphor, it felt like they’re hanging on so hard to everything they’ve had together and, emotionally, they’re only holding on by their fingernails now and the tiniest push would dislodge them, but despite that they’re hanging on with all their strength. It was both sad and inspiring to watch them, if that makes sense. :/

But yes, it was amazing, and I just felt afterwards that I could support them in anything they do, for as long as it takes, while they’re holding out themselves for the other two.
