Andy Lau sent a thank you message to Super Junior Choi Siwon.

Andy Lau who’s waiting for the movie ‘D-Project’ to be released, thanked Choi siwon for giving him a mother-of-pearl and an autographed CD on an interview with MBC ‘Section TV Entertainment News’ which aired on the 24th. Choi Siwon thinks of Lau as his savior.

Choi Siwon said on a show that he met Andy Lau through 2005 movie ‘Battle of Wits.’ Andy Lau grabbed saved Choi Siwon while filming when he lost consciousness.

Andy Lau remarked that “I’m said that I didn’t get to see Siwon for a long time” and gave him support by saying, “I’ve heard that Super Junior will be having a concert. I hope it ends successfully.”

[News] Super Junior's Eunhyuk declared "the member with the worst hearing is Choi Si-won"

Super Junior’s EunHyuk voted SiWon as the member with the worst hearing.

On KBS2TV “Happy Birthday” which was broadcasted on the 6th, EunHyuk expressed that his company has acknowledged him and let him take up the responsibility of Super Junior’s concert choreography; 70 to 80% was his very own production among the performances put up.

When EunHyuk was questioned about Choi Si Won's bad hearing, he stated that “he is inattentive and his ears are not listening”, revealing another shocking side of SiWon. “There was once our choreographer told us to practice our choreography, and SiWon asked ‘Are we going to meet Bae Yong Jun?’” which led to a series of laughter.

EunHyuk then discussed his worries with MC Lee Kyung Kyu, admitting that he is feeling distressed about his popularity being lesser when compared to LeeTeuk. He stated “Everyone only remembers LeeTeuk. I still have to go for recording with him although people are still getting me mixed up.”

Everyone's curiosity was aroused upon hearing that Lee Kyung Kyu was the reason for EunHyuk's lack of self confidence. [News] Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae confirmed for Taiwan idol drama "Evtravagant Challenge "

Idol Drama Extravagant Challenge has had many hardships while trying to decide on a male lead, from Jerry Yan to Wu Chun, ‘till the final decision of Super Junior’s Siwon and Donghae to take up the post. Siwon and Donghae have a rather deep relationship with Taiwan’s entertainment circle. They have once came to Taiwan and given support by making a guest appearance in Ariel Lin’s Fireflies MV, and thus forged cooperation opportunities.

This time, the missing of male leads for Extravagant Challenge led to the pulling of strings by Ariel Lin’s management company, who sought out Siwon and Donghae of Super Junior.
 
Extravagant Challenge is an adaption of a Japanese manga, now the male protagonists are taken charge of by Korean male celebrities, and the female protagonist is portrayed by Taiwan’s leading sister Ariel Lin. Super Junior SiWon underwent operation to remove inflamed salivary gland

Super Junior Choi SiWon underwent a surgery to remove his salivary gland.

Super Junior Lee Teuk revealed during a press conference on 20th May in Seoul KangNam ApGooJung, “SiWon is unable to attend this press conference today due to health issuse. He has received health examination at the hospital and is currently resting at home.”

An official also revealed, “SiWon underwent a surgery on 18th May to remove his inflamed salivary gland. During the filming for SBS drama ‘Oh My Lady’, he has been taken anti-inflammatory medicine for that. But his condition worsened and he has to undergo an operation for it.”

The official added, “He is resting at home on the 19th, and is unable to attend for Super Junior’s activities. Even though it is not major health problem, his face is swollen.”

With that, it is still unclear whether SiWon will be performing with Super Junior for KBS Music Bank on 21st May. The official revealed, “It should not interfere with his activities much, but we will have to check his conditions tomorrow morning to determine.”

Meanwhile, Super Junior is recently back after 1 year and 2 months with their 4th album title song ‘Bona Mana’.

Choi Siwon, 2PM, 2NE1, SNSD and others pray for Thailand

As many of you know, there’s much bloodshed in Thailand right now because of the sensitive political situation. But some Korean stars are feeling sad about the situation and have come together for a praying session for them.

On May 19th, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon posted a group picture of their praying session on his Twitter and actress Ryeo Won, SNSD’s Tiffany, Yoona, Sooyoung and Hyoyeon, 2NE1’s Minzy and 2PM’s Taecyeon were sighted. Siwon wrote, “Please pray for Thailand ! HOLY SPIRIT come to Thailand ! Be safe :) !!”

The biggest surprise however was seeing Minzy in the picture. Who ever said YG artists kept to themselves? We just don’t see it on the surface.

It’s really nice of them do a thing like this even though they are far away from Thailand and I’m sure they are worried sick about the safety of their fans and families too. Let’s all hope that things will improve in Thailand soon!

In recent days the Korean drama starring Choi Siwon & Chaerim has been in great demand, leading Choi Siwon to pique people’s interest. In his first leading role he plays a superstar who’s outwardly arrogant, but actually a kind person on the inside. And when he works hard to totally transform his actual gentle, gentlemanly self, to become the total opposite on screen, in the process we see all the qualities that a fine man should possess.



Point 1: Wise beyond his years
Attentive. Considerate. Guys who take into account his surroundings always lead people to have a good impression. Although Siwon is only in his early 20s, but his actions have already led people to feel his diligence. This time, Chaerim, who acts oppsite Siwon, has already teasingly named Siwon as the “little old boy”, praising Siwon as being very considerate, with thoughts that ordinary guys of his age do not possess. Chaerim feels very blessed to be able to act opposite him.

Point 2: Occasional mischievousness

This time is Siwon’s first on-screen leading role in a TV drama, and his fellow Super Junior members seem to be more anxious than him, & whenever there’s an opportunity, they’ll advertise for his TV drama, leaving Siwon feeling very grateful. “The members have done a lot of promoting for me, giving me a lot of help. During various variety shows & TV shows, individual websites etc. Though we’re not related by blood, but thy’re really truly brothers & family, I’m really thankful for their existence.”

For people in the entertainment industry, appearance is especially important. There was once during a certain program, Siwon said that after debut he gained 20kg. With this, you would think he’s someone who doesn’t have self-control & has no endurance. Then you would be wrong. This time, for the TV drama, in order to perfectly portray the superstar that would make fans faint, Siwon painstakingly lost weight. In terms of diet, everyday (he) would only eat 1kg of meat & a plate of eggs. Strictly following this rule, (he) definitely wouldn’t do as he pleased. After seeing the setting of “Minwoo’s chocolate abs”, Siwon also made a dash to build up his body, persevering in working out & running for 2-3 hours a day.

Point 7: Knowing how to speak candidly with others
From Siwon’s point of view, actually frankness is very important. He feels that be it in his life or in his work, if one uses a sincere attitude & actions to treat the things & people around, only then can one achieve the results that are desired, only then can one gain the understanding & sympathy of others. This time, after the airing of the TV drama, the evaluation of Siwon from the audience was that (he was) natural & real. Even though he’s a singer, but it didn’t seem over the top, (he) didn’t overact. Instead, it was very natural, assimilating with his character to put up a performance.

Point 8: Knows how to grasp onto the main point of a question
Siwon is a really smart person.
