‘Album King’ Super Junior Surpasses the 200,000 mark

According to the album sales count site Hanteo Information System on July 11, Super Junior has already surpassed the 200,000 mark this year, selling 201,403 units with their 4th album, BONAMANA. The 4th album version A, released on May 13th sold 120,985. Version B, which was dressed up with new jackets, added another 46,590 in CD sales. The repackaged album which was just released on June 28th sold 33,828 units.

With the current state of the music market, it is difficult enough to sell 100,000 units, making Super Junior’s record sales all the more amazing. The actual time for album sales to reach over 200,000 copies was just 60 days. With their additional promotional activities in the next couple of days, there’s a possibility of breaking their record once again. Super Junior is also generating a buzz as to whether they will sweep various awards like they did last year.

Super Junior is currently promoting their follow up single ‘No Other.’ On the 9th on KBS 2TV Music Bank, they took the number one spot once again with ‘No Other,’ while winning the Mutizen Award on SBS’ Sunday show Inkigayo, proving that they are still the idol group to beat.
